A HARD MAN TO LOVE Mixing business and pleasure never felt so good... Montana Blackstone has big plans for the deluxe spa resort she's building at Black Creek Ranch. They don't include letting her know-it-all new foreman take the reins, even if tall, broad-shouldered Steele Hardt looks mighty capable of showing her how blissful it can be to surrender control - in and out of the bedroom. As the sizzling chemistry between them erupts in one mind-blowing encounter after another, Montana finds that Steele has a knack for knocking down her defences and seeing through to the vulnerable core she's tried so hard to hide. Once a pro poker player, now a renowned business troubleshooter, Steele came to Black Creek to give investors a covert report on the spa's potential - not to give its gorgeous owner such very personal attention. And once she learns the truth about why he's there, Steele stands to lose Montana forever. Convincing her that the heat between them is more than a diversion means taking the biggest gamble of his life. But Steele has never been known to take the easy way out - and he's not about to start now..... Steele's charming younger brother, Sloan Hardt, demanded his story be told next, in WICKED NIGHT GAMES.

I adore springtime, with its warmer days and promise of new growth and fresh starts; infinitely encouraging for a writer. It’s a great time to start a new book, which is what I’m planning to do.
Spring arrives early on the west coast, much welcome after a particularly stormy winter. This is my first spring in my new near-the-beach cottage (circa 1938) and it is exciting to see so many bulbs popping their pretty heads forth. I’m trying to figure out how to discourage the deer from eating my tulips, but it might be a waste of energy. Luckily, they are leaving the daffodils alone.
Easter is always an important family time for us, and if it’s warm enough for a picnic on the beach, so much the better. I have some fun trips on the horizon, including New York to see my editor, a weekend cruise with over a dozen close girlfriends, and a jaunt to Scotland, where I’ve never been before. I have no doubt they will each provide their own inspiration and research, translating into new story ideas. The Romance Writers Conference is in Dallas this year, so if you’re there, please look out for me to say ‘hi’. It’s been several years since I’ve been to an RWA conference and I’m really looking forward to. If memory serves, the men in Dallas are quite something.
WICKED NIGHT GAMES is being released in May. Keep your eye on my web-site to see a photo of Sloan Hardt’s hand-crafted wooden bed made from beach logs. Kathleen Currently available from your favorite bookstore:
